« At Mougins, art and the table hold upon the same hilltop. »

A portrait of the place
Mougins is a medieval village perched two hundred and sixty metres above the plain, only eight kilometres from Cannes but in another world. Its circular old village, surrounded by ramparts, retains its fifteenth-century spiral layout. Around it, in the hills, sit the villas, hotels and chapels that make Mougins the most discreetly inhabited hinterland of the Coast.
It is at Mougins that Picasso lived his last twelve years and where he died, in a dwelling close to the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Vie. It is also at Mougins that Roger Vergé installed his Moulin and obtained his three Michelin stars, contributing to make this village one of the most densely starred in France. Art and gastronomy hold together here, on the same alleys.
Maison Vehira serves here the guests of the village's two palaces — the Mas Candille and Royal Mougins — and the gastronomic visitors who come up from the Coast for luncheons that last the afternoon. The immediate proximity to Cannes also makes it a privileged retreat during Festival weeks.
II
The Maison in Mougins
Vehira operates in Mougins on two distinct registers. In the village proper, where the alleys are pedestrian, its chauffeurs drop off and pick up at the entrance — generally at the Place du Commandant Lamy, two steps from Mougins-le-Haut. The parking reserved for services lies below.
In the surrounding hills, where the private villas, the Mas Candille and Royal Mougins are nested, the service is more continuous. The Maison habitually serves guests in transfers from Nice or Cannes-Mandelieu, in by-the-hour service for luncheons at the village, and for daily round-trips to the Croisette during Cannes seasons.
For families staying a week or more in a private villa — Sophia Antipolis, Pégomas, Valbonne — the Maison proposes a seasonal attachment, with reserved motorcar and dedicated chauffeur.

IV
The addresses of the Maison
Mougins counts two palaces that the Maison habitually serves — the Mas Candille, ancient Provençal farmhouse turned five-star hotel, and Royal Mougins, golf resort set upon the hills with view as far as the Pre-Alps. Both have their own concierges, who call upon Vehira for their guests.
In the village, the Maison conveys guests to several starred restaurants which its reserve prevents from naming on a public page. It also attends the Museum of Classical Art, the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-Vie, and the private galleries of Mougins-le-Haut. For guests on day-trip gastronomic escapades from Monaco, Saint-Tropez or Antibes, the Maison organises transfers in direct coordination with the restaurants.
V
The Mougins attachment
For villas of the hinterland
Mougins and its neighbouring villages — Valbonne, Pégomas, Mouans-Sartoux — shelter a great number of private villas open part of the year by international families. Maison Vehira proposes there a seasonal attachment, adapted to the rhythm of the hinterland: transfers to the Coast, cultural outings, dinners at the village.
This attachment rests on a dedicated chauffeur, a reserved motorcar, and the gradual learning of habits — market day, the favoured Sunday restaurant, the timetable of the international school.
